BLOG

A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, one which consists of blogs with very short posts. As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs. With the advent of video blogging, the word blog has taken on an even looser meaning that of any bit of media wherein the subject expresses his opinion or simply talks about

There are many different types of blogs, differing not only in the type of content, but also in the way that content is delivered or written

The term "weblog" was coined by Jorn Barger on 17 December 1997. The short form, "blog," was coined by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in April or May of 1999. Shortly thereafter, Evan Williams at Pyra Labs used "blog" as both a noun and verb ("to blog," meaning "to edit one's weblog or to post to one's weblog") and devised the term "blogger" in connection with Pyra Labs' Blogger product, leading to the popularization of the terms

COMPUTER PERSPECTIVE

computer is just a global communication. it is also make our life easy with a variable usage such as communicate with other people around the wold, gain a lot of information. get are curren issue fro the other country.besides,it is easy for student to do an assignment, research and etc.if we study aboute computer we can get many knowladges example to what software?hardware?and ect..it very benefit studying abuote computer.the computter also has a programming, operating system and ect.

a proremming perspective;computer architecture course spend corsiderable time describing the nuonces of designing a high performance memory system.they discuss such choise as write through vs wrute back, clirec mapped vs set associated, cache siging indexing, ect.the presentation usually assumer that the designer has no control over the progremm that are run and so that only choise is to try to match the memory system to need of a set of benchmark progremm.

operating system;course in operating system cover the design of the components of and operating system_ _only a small fraction of progremmer ever write this kind of code, though.on the other hand, they can access many features of the OS using system call such as "fork, work, exes, etc."this level of progremming is not gennerally covered in any course.in chapter 8,we discribe process managment, and how programmer can make usege of the process control features of UNIX and LINUX.

it is many perspective about this...diffren opinion depend to some people use..above is my computer perspective....the end.thank you.
